El haouaria caves

                                   

                       

These caves are located 2 km from the village of El haouaria, on the beach, not far from "wedding" finger-like real directed towards Europe which forms the southern boundary of the Strait of Sicily, reflect most of the ships in the Mediterranean.

It's a rough quarry spur of the Covenant alboni in 17th and vi BC which increased exploitation in Roman. These stones were used in building the Carthage city landmarks, for example.

This "teacher" in the form of "meeting" are in fact sequential and caves "vicious" deep narrow holes deep quarries and composed of pyramid-shaped spaces.

On the surface, above the Summit of the alshnakh advanced towards the sea, near vents leading to the entrance of the quarry, there are also the effects of the exploitation of the site.
